One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Ah the beauty of God's creation is beyond description. As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work. As I sat there, I felt the Lord's presence with me. He asked me:"Do you love me?" I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and Savior!"

Then He asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still love me?"I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn't; be able to do, the things that I took for granted. And I answered, "It would be tough Lord, but I would still love You."

Then the Lord said:"If you were blind, would you still love my creation?" How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and His creation. So I answered, "It's hard to think of it, but I would still love you."

The Lord then asked me, "If you were deaf, would you still listen to my word?" How could I listen to anything being deaf? Then I understood. Listening to God's Word is not merely using our ears, but our hearts. I answered, "It would be tough, but I would still listen to your word."

The Lord then asked:If you were mute, would you still praise My Name?" How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me: God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. And Praising God is not always with a song, but when we are persecuted, we give God praise with our words of thanks. So I answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise Your Name."

And the Lord asked:"Do you really love Me?"

With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly, " Yes Lord! I love you because you are the one and true God!"

I thought I had answered well, but...

God asked, "THEN WHY DO YOU SIN?" I answered, "Because I am only human. I am not perfect.""THEN WHY IN TIMES OF PEACE DO YOU STRAY THE FURTHEST? WHY ONLY IN TIMES OF TROUBLE DO YOU PRAY THE EARNEST?"

No answers. Only tears.

The Lord continued:"Why only sing at fellowships and retreats?Why seek Me only in times of worship?Why ask things so selfishly?Why ask things so unfaithfully?" The tears continued to roll down my cheeks."Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not spreading the good news? Why in times of persecution, you cry to others when offer My shoulder to cry on? Why make Excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My Name?"

I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.

"You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you continue to turn away. I have revealed My Word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you but your ears were closed. I have shown My blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have heard your prayers and I have answered them all."

"DO YOU TRULY LOVE ME?"

I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief.I had no excuse. What could I say to this? When my heart had cried out and the tears had flowed, I said, "Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be Your child." The Lord answered, "That is My Grace, My Child." I asked, "Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do You love me so?"The Lord answered:" Because you are My Creation. You are my Child. I will never abandon you.When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired, I will carry you. I will be with you till the end of days, and I will love you forever."

Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt God as I had done?

I asked God, "How much do You love me?"

The Lord stretched out His arms, and I saw His nail-pierced hands.
I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my Savior. And for the first time, I truly prayed.

Pastor Debra and the mission trip team is organising an event called [ Love Actually.. ]
This Saturday 10 Feb 730pm @ TCT Room 1

This is an event to thank all our sponsors, and also an outreach programme for your friends.
In this programme, there will be snacks and drinks provided, and also a skit, which we have put up during the trip.
Also, some testimonials amd experiences of the trippers.

The skit is about a life journey of a youth, going through several stages of rejection, from his parents, friends and gf.
And how he came to Christ, and God gave him a new heart.

Would like to urge you to come down to give us your support, and take the chance to invite some friends whom you would like to reach out to.

- Pam's back still hurts,plus she is falling sick too! (heard from Roger).. Let's pray that the Lord will indeed bless her with complete healing of her back and keep her strong and healthy! Our prayers are more powerful than Mr SA Tan! hahaha.

- Jacq sprained ankle, injured soft bones inside, need to be bandaged for 10 days. Let's pray for the Lord's healing to be upon her.. sprained ankles very mafan one. hehe.

Indeed He Heals!

Hahaha... Yup.... to answer to Jo's sms.... " Pam, did He heal You?" Hahaha... the answer is YES! HE DID! Well.. most of you know I sprained my back 3 years before my baptism... so ever since then... my back never really recovered... I will feel the soreness during rainy days, sleeping in Daniel hall (despite having the thicker slping bag fr del!) and of cos' when my period is coming... I can feel it....!

So on Sundae... Ps Khong mentioned abt healing for the rheumatism.. I responded.. Haha... actually thank God... I did not want to go out initially cos' I was lazy... and there was no one to go with me.... So ai lo... but decided to go ahead... Hahaha.. waited really long to be prayed for... so tat moment was pretti weird... Aniwae.... when Ps Khong shared someting like we must believe that we are healed even though we may feel the pain a days later, then the evil one will deceive you saying all these were a scam.... So yup... that really convicted me alot....

Straight after the prayers... I dun really feel much difference... but I chose to believe I was healed liao..... and praise God! I can feel it.... My period just came like tat... and I did not feel the soreness I normally feels! Though I need to take care of my back.... Hahaha... I chose to believe He heals lah! {at least my doubts! ;) }

haha. just want to share a short testimony!

yesterday at work, suddenly felt v sick... feverish, throat dry, body aching (SARS?? HAHA) but it was really very sudden, then i was thinking, could it be spiritual attack, cuz today (friday) i'm bringing some barnabas kids to the baptism service... and the state i was in, really cant go lah!

last night couldnt sleep well, woke up at 3am, drank liang cha and ate panadol haha.. and kept praying! and this morning when i awoke, i had so much strength within me!!!! i really feel so much, so much better..!!

it's really very very amazing.. i thot the sickness was gonna last for at least a week!! haaa... His ways are higher than our ways, his thoughts are higher than ours! our God HeaLs! AMEN!!!

u know yesterday during team mtg, we watched the show, the devil wears prada? haha... then remember i was saying, i realised that actually my boss isn't that bad, and i need to learn to be more humble? hahaha...

then today ah, at work ah, the whole time i keep thinking, ya ya my boss is really quite nice... really must appreciate him more.. haaha.... haa... then.. i went appointment with him this afternoon, at tampines area.. it ended abt 4 plus... then he told me to just go home straight, dun need to go back office! hahahahahaa..... i couldnt believe my ears ah! u mean, like... go home NOW...? at 4 plus when work ends at 6???? HAHAA...

heeeee. so crow is happily at home now at 5 plus...!! hehehe... very blessed hor? hahaha.... then ah, cuz we go appointment together mah... then we talked quite alot... then i keep thinking, aiyo, i'll miss him leh... hahahaa.... ya lor... ya, i really start to appreciate him a lot more!! hahaha... he even told me to start looking for jobs as now is a good time, and that if i have to go for interview, JUST GO! hahahahaha... Wow..... : )))))))

my boss is very nice right??? hahaha... nah... our God is the BEST! hahaha!!

what a coincidence! we went for jacq's grandma's wake just now, and we all happened to be wearing black already! do continue to pray for jacq and her family k? and her youngest sis, who might not be able to take it very well...

anyway, we intended to head for home after going to the toilet, but ended up taking some vanity shots in the toilet since we were the only ones around. hehe... fun! then we walked out and there were these rows of stalls selling cheap and nice stuffs that we couldnt resist the urge to shop around! all of us bought at least one stuff back! person who got the best deal of the day? aileen, who got 2 tops and 1 nice tube top, all for the price of $15!!! WOW!!!

haa... thanks girls for the short but fun session! gonna see everyone on sat's prayer meeting!!! tata!!!

I can' t get enough of the blog.. anyway.. chin and I went to do some serious baby sitting that day. Here are some useful tips when your turn comes again.. hehehe..

BaBy SitTing 101
1) Work in pairs
( Chin's really good - you need lots of help burping him and changing his diapers)

2) dress comfortably and make sure you're not wearing something with a plunging neckline
(my top kept sliding down while I was carrying Emmanuel - Chin's a lucky woman *wink* )

3) be as irritating as you can be
(do NOt.. i repeat.. do NOT let emmanuel sleep in the day - right pam?)

4) beware of fart
(always change his diapers quickly.. he suddenly farted while I was changing him and you know what comes after fart... Ah!! i had to move quick..hehehe..)

5) subsitute water for milk
(when the baby cries and it's not time to feed him.. try to con him with water)

6) walk around A LOT
( that guy just wants to be carried and he stops crying when you walk)

LyDia's Miracle

Alright you techno-savvy individuals, I've been meaning to tell you what happened last sunday during service. As some of you know, Lydia was crying very badly during service and she kept asking why she was born and why she had to suffer. She kept saying "Take me away" "I don't want to suffer anymore" and "It's very painful". Sigh.. What can one do but to say some sugar-coated words in a vain attempt to mask her pain? Just looking at her asking such questions, I can really feel my heart breaking. So after comforting her for a while, I called her mum and her mum took her out for some prayer with her cell group.

When Pastor gave the altar call for healing, Lydia came back with her mum and after Ps Seng Lee prayed for her, I asked her to try and straighten herself and asked her whether she felt better.... she said ya.... so I thought " okay good man.. so.. okay la!".. and you know.. that was it.

So after awhile we continued to worship God, her mum and sis was happily jumping and praising God and Esther and I were also jumping and singing.. when we suddenly realized that.. Lydia was JuMpING.. QUITE A LOT!.. than "PoinK pOiNg POinK".. she jumped.. and we were jumping.. and she was jumping.. and suddenly.. her mum and i just stared at her..

"You can jump."

"You can jump?"

"YOU CAN JUMP!"

Suddenly it was such a JOy and MiRacle to see her jumping away!! ANd to see her just doing what she couldn't previously do.. is really such a sense of elation! I think.. words failed me and her mum at that moment.. IT"S A MIRACLE!! hehehe.. okay for those of you who are confused here's the back ground info. Lydia has had 27 operations till date, she still cannot stand up straight and could not jump unassisted. yeah :)

Hi!

yeaps.. I thank God that I am able to blog, even though I am supposed to be in bed... but i thought I really need to blog something down, before another new week starts.

As some of you may know, I will be following Pastor Debra and a whole group of girls for mission trip end of this year. Michelle, from Pam Goh's side will also be going! We had our first " briefing " session today.. and I am really v excited.. even though I do not know wht to expect as yet... but, I thank God tht Michelle and I are in the same group, under Cindy, to serve the kids there.. yes.. the kids.. and, I am a first time tripper.. so.. abit sua ku as to what to do.. but God is good.. Pastor Debra is good too.. cos.. our gp is the only gp.. that has the least prep... as in.. we only need to fund raise for a guitar, on top of all our other expenses.. other groups like Benji and Rachel's, they need to fund raise for a TV.. OMG... can u imagine how expensive it is.... and.. yes.. do bless us with any guitars if you know of anyone who has plenty of extras, and are thinking of giving theirs who needs it, or am selling it for a low low price... Also, our group will be the ones, who will be teaching kids about moral/ biblical values.. so we will be like ' story-tellers' when we are there... I still cant imagine how it will be like... but.. I am sure I can learn alot from my maid, before we get there.. and I think i will get her to help me write my 'script', before I am supposed to fly there..

The Lord impressed upon my heart, tht I should be contented with what I have.. and that I to get my hands and feet dirty for the Lord. that was the reason I asked del if there was any mission trip this year...and I thank God that He has put me in this group, because I knw, He wants me to see, that even as a child, I have the privilege, to have toys and books, which i dont think they kids there will have. I am not sure what the Lord still has in store for me.. but I know.. it is part of the great plan.. and I am.. willing to get dirty for Him...I am reminded again, that I am blessed to be a blessing.. called to be a blessing..

so.. haha.. I will be passing my sponsorship forms for the trip on the next team meeting.. but I have decided that the finds raised from the G12/ our trip will be for the contribution of the team's expenses. ( unless some one specifically tells me it is to bless me, and wants to sponsor my trip la... hee.. like WL will be sponsoring my 'jab' ).. else, I think, i will pay for the trip. Yeaps.. and please let me know about the guitar thing i mentioned earlier.. and.. haha.. see you on tuesday! oh yes.. you can pray for us too.. cos.. i think me and michelle dont know any of the people there, esp the girls in our team, are all cindy's girls.. so.. i feel abit akward.. dunno why.. but.. yeah! I got new friends! =)

hi people! hehe.. so sorry ive mia-ed! can you believe, i was down with fever and flu for more than a week? haa.... loser.

today, i woke up to pick up a call from jacq. wah... my voice sounded like a man!! deep.......and er sexy? wahaha....

but aside from this, yah.... im finally recovering, coz my nose is finally blocked, iinstead of flowing, that means i get to recover soon! haha.. so who cares about the husky voice!

anyway, this sick period has hindered me from doing alot of things. been bugged by alot of work, assignments, upcoming tests, etc. perhaps it was also why i fell sick in the 1st place. but ya... i think i was at my all-time lowest. and melvin was away in korea then, so i was just immersing in my own pool of troubles laa.....

erm, but i think im picking myself up. dont wanna be discouraged and weak anymore.
probably what woke me was this:

ill not fall simply because He will not let go of me. i just came to my senses today. haha... thank you.

Dear sisters, just want to give praise to God..

The past week, I've been doing kind of cold-calling to many companies to try to get more business for our company, for the corporate side, as presently we do jobs for many schools and govt bodies.. so i'm supposed to get jobs from the corporate side, eg doing brochures posters etc for mktg purposes..

Praise God, it's been quite good. Only just started calling for corporate side last week, but have managed to arrange for quite a few presentations.. My boss was quite surprised, cuz the previous person didn't manage to penetrate through after 6 mths of working with them.. and as we were talking about it, the end conclusion was "it's God's blessing.." and i know my boss wife knows that it is really God who blesses.

Just a while ago, I was looking through and planning the appointments for this week.. and God once again reminded me of His purpose in it all.. i remember @ the interview, when my boss asked me if i was ok with doing sales as part of my job too, immediately in my mind was "no way.." but God stopped me, and told me there and then that He will show how much He can bless through this aspect of my job.. thus i agreed.. and now, I'm really experiencing God's hand and His power in it all.. i'm not good in speaking, yet God bless me with favour.. haaa...I realised that I haven't been posting in this blog! heh heh! Well...and I was shock to see under September event that Emmanuel will be born! Heh heh!

Anyway....just wanted to say a big thank u to all my dear daughters here! Yah...thank u for all your support and all your love! It's been a great joy serving with each and everyone of you (haaa...though sometimes there's heartaches and all...) haaa....but it's a great joy to know you and I LOVE EACH and EVERYONE of you! haha... i told aileen ill upload the pics here. finally, after soooo much talking, we had our hair done yesterday!!!! hehe... aileen wanted it done sooner so that she can wash her hair by fri's cell bbq! of course, i cant wait to wash my hair too!! hey, i think aileen's hair looks nice!! must go see!!

hehe. hello everybody! my name is crow tan! hahaha. just ended my first week of work, so thought it'd be good to share a bit over here about how it has been! haa..

well.. all in all, i'd say i enjoy the job quite a lot.. it's really quite interesting when the designers just try and tell me their whole concept and idea and the images that come with it, and i come up with some tagline or text for it.. i realise it's something i really enjoy! i like handling concepts.. haa..

yup yup.. so i'm enjoying it... though a bit sian when it comes to the newsletter part (in which i realise i've become a journalist cum writer cum editor) hahahaa... but i've also come to realise that all the liasing is really good for my learning... i'm now alot more comfortable making calls etc.. yup, so i thank God too for this exposure.. and .. ya! God really gives me inspiration on what to write one leh... really really... it's amazing.

hehe.. yup yup.. and most importantly... my one prayer for work was that i'll mix well with my colleagues... and that i can "be myself" at work... and ya! amen! they're really very nice people.. and i do feel quite myself when im with them... aha, Yes! i tell them cold jokes sometimes!! hahahaha... though there may be some language barrier (haha..), but God has been really good u noe... it's really amazing to see how God works! hehe..

hehe.. that's all for me... God never fails.. God will never forget any one of us... God is great!!

A MIRACLE FINALLY HAPPENED!!AND I really want to Praise the Lord!! With all my heart!! :)

My brother accepted Jesus into his life yesterday!! My brother. The eldest brother, who's known to be very hard and always sabotaging our efforts to go to church. This brother, has finally allowed pride to be washed away, and decided to come to know God! I really thank God for all that's happening in the life of my family. Ever since, I came back, its like one miracle after another. Right now, my heart is thumping really hard. And, I know that heaven is throwing a really big feast for my Kor kor now and this is getting me really excited! I know that God is going to reach to daddy and mummy! So please continue to be in prayer for the christians in my family, all of us are actively praying for my parents now. Its half a dream come true. My kor kor and I and mei mei were sitting around last night (while the parents were out) testifying of God's love in our life, all of us acknowledging in one voice that Jesus is real and we love him very much. All of us acknowledging in unison that God is a God that heals. God is moving! And Dear God, I pray that you'll continue to do a deep work in my family! I pray that you'll continue to come and speak into mummy and daddy's life!
Below is an exercpt of some of the things he wrote...

"The Lord Has Touched Me
went to church this evening... been a long time since i went into one...i was really looking forward to going to it... been feeling his calling this few days, feel that its my time...i was also hoping for some kind of a miracle, that god will come and take all my pain and resentment away...and i guess in the end, in a way, he did....... the closure i needed...then jean came, i cried to her for a while, while telling her abt how i felt and how i really needed god to come into my life now but he dun seem to be there...she told me that he will always be there for me...
he really help bring things into a greater perspective...made me see that this is just a small mile stone in my life...and i should learn from it and move on to become a better person...be sad, but dun dwell in the past for too long...or u r just a stupid idiot (exact words)

as i reflect on today, i realised that god really came into my life, told me that its time to move on to something greater, and at the end of the day, i think he also healed abit of my broken heart to relief the pain that i am going through, and i am thankful for that...

Yup.. more to give thanks for........

My mum brought me a cross pendant! HEE! And she was so excited to give me... realli felt very encouraged... tis is the 2nd cross my mum brought for me... yup.. realli goes to show the acceptance in her wif me being a Christian!

Finally went for my work orientation... hmmm like i shared with the new staff... i dun noe wat a work orientation shld be like... so yah.. it was realli an eye-opener cos' we had tea session wif ps eugene followed by a tour to 3 service centres...! 1st was the seniors activity centre, then independent living and lastly ubi hostel... hee.. realli thankful for the oppt. to meet my fellow colleauges... seeing their passion (yet noe-ing they r veri veri human...) in doing the service... realli inspired me... saw how the clients r very warm and cheerful perked me up! oh... the independent living is for the special needs ppl... they ended by praying for us... is so sweet! like u noe how we take prayers for granted at times.. yah.. every word they painstakingly formed in a proper sentence... its realli amazing.......

Hahhaha.... yup.. is veri deep kind of orientation... i cant realli express it well by blogging... I thx God for tis timely orientation... realli changed alot of my thots abt working in TCS... (though i still hold reservations in certain aspects) hee hee.. otherwise is very much a serving and loving environment... hahhaa... cant wait to go to the Staff advance in sept! Hee.... starting to understand wat it means by "part-time working, full-time ministry"....

So wif tat..... i shared wif my g12.. (cos' doing the fruits of the spirit... and todae's fruit is JOY!) HAHA... so every divine... and also shared wif my parents.... i think my parents r impress! and my Dad donated a neat sum to TCS! Yup.... (no more "golden tap").... so yup... blessed tat they r not negative abt my job... praying for an opening for my mum to become a volunteer and my dad to be involved in diabetics support.. cos' dad is one... heh..... amen!

just wanna give thanks to God.. indeeed He is so so good, and He is sovereign over all...

as most of u noe, i've begun applying for jobs (finally..) haa... went for 2 proper interviews so far.. and through it all, God has really shown me how GreAt he is.. Really, i'm filled with awe...

1. meeting joanna!
haha, i coincidentally met jo on the way to my first interview on monday!! haa, really thank God for her, or else i think i'd be so so stressed! *though i doubt jo will ever read this... hahahaha.* thanks so much jo... the songs really helped!! =)

2. favour with the interviewers..!
that is the one thing i asked God for.. and He really gave me so so much favour with the interviewers.. all i can say, really, is that God fully took control the whole time, it was so easy for me to just talk and talk and talk and talk throughout... and not forgeting the jokes i was able to make too! hahaha!!

when i told me frens abt the interviews, they all said the same thing: "how come ur interviews so good one? how come like so relaxed and enjoyable?" and the one thing that i could only tell them was of God's blessings.. i know it really wasnt me.. it is until now that i understand wat it means to boast of the Lord.. i just feel so so blessed... so special to God..

3. Christian bosses!!
haha! and guess wat!! i casually mentioned to jo that it would be good if the person was a christian... haha... and ya!! both interviews, the boss are christians!! hahahaa... so cool u noe, i could openly talk about God during the interview!! ya... amazing. haha.

haha.. i really feel very blessed... like today's reading in the 40-day fast book says, "i'd rather have Jesus..." really, to me, the job doesnt matter any more... i so much enjoy this relationship i have with Him... that through boring things like interviews, He shows himself true... God is really really GooD!

aha, and yes... i bet many must be wondering, how come crow suddenly decide to stop nua-ing and start applying jobs ah??? hahaha.. yes, yes, thank you del.. for caring enough to knock some sense into me.. indeed i'm still very childish in many ways! hahaha... on monday when i met jo, she was like "eh? how come u suddenly send resumes? is it del finally talked sense into u??" then we burst out laughing.. hahaa... so funny...

Hahaha.... gladly need the support..... CROAKZ!

Well, jacq, sara, chiwern and I stayed behind to "dry-swim" with Aileen and of course, God is not one that practise favouritism- so we all won!! :)

I really love this team of mine. The entire time we were doing this... there was lot of confusion and too many things going on at one time... But, yet, I've got special help from my God sent angels like Aileen, Crow, Joe and many others...:) It meant alot to me that we were able to get together to fellowship again.. :) Somehow, for me, I'm just searching for that closeness we used to share as a team before I left for Australia.. Probably a need for continuation! Thank You guys..

This has been memorable for me.. for not being able to celebrate Dellia's birthday with her for the past 3 years, and not being able to attend her wedding... Being able to be there to see her celebrate her birthday last night, alongside with the team.. meant a great deal to my need for continuation and adjustment for my 1st year back in Singapore..

More importantly, to be there to personally thank Dellia and appreciate her for all that she's been to me as a spiritual mother and Like what sara said in her post - let me rephrase "thank you for putting up with all the crap that we put you through and yet you lovingly welcome us anytime" Love You Dellia! Happy Birthday! :)

I believe the below post is from Sara! :) (Its her writing style lah!!) I really enjoyed last night as well.. it was so free and easy and FUN! :) Its been a long while since we slacked slacked slacked like that already :) Before i go on and on, Here comes the pictures! :)

The pigging out and acting crazy people (Even before the main people arrived!) Well, at this point, I must comment that Aileen has been an extremely good host... doing things for us! I Love this team mate of mine!! :) And of course, i was given a better opportunity to share a great time with the girls (Sara and Crow were fasting from junk food! and we made a whole load of jokes out of it!!) Well... Lennel was not at that table most of the time..he was just too shy to sit with the girls! :)

And of course, the birthday girl and birthday boy! :) Really, they were such fun and sporting people! Before the cutting cake session, there was a competition between the both of them to see who can blow out the candle (at 3 tile distance) ! Dennis Won! So, here's the cutting cake session... A LOGICAL person like me decided to buy 2 cakes coz it was 2 PERSON's BIRTHDAY!!! I don't know how come everyone else were illogical enough to think that there is should only be 1 cake!!! hahaha

Gorging ourselves with food... Yeah, Pam, dun worry, We fed dellia with apples and some other fruits which i don't know how to spell! (Background info: Pam had to specially message me to remind me to feed dellia with more healthy food!)

The girls that were there! (5 glams nice-smiles-pictures) and 3 super-unglam-big-mouth-pictures..hahahaha

hehe... as tired as i am now... (a full-pledged panda by now!), i just wanna say that im glad i made it for the "surprise" party we had for del and dennis just now. thankyou everyone for making the effort to come! hehe.. im blogging so that the rest who were unable to make it would not feel left out! hehe... im sure you all wanted to be there too! er...although there wasnt much of a surprise, as all the other years! wahaha.....

let me see who was there.... on the girls' side, we had aileen (duh... it was at aileen's house!), chin ling, jacq, carolyn, dawn, joanna and me!
on the guys' side, we had chi wern, joe, kelvin, daniel, and lionel.
last but not least, we had del and dennis waiting for our "surprise"!

we didnt do much la... we just pigged out while waiting for the couple, and cracked lotsa jokes. and aileen made us wear the animal hats for the party!
while del and dennis were on their way up, we started trying to clear the mess, and had to make it look like there were only the guys there to surprise dennis. after singing the birthday song 3 times (the usual, english, chinese, and christian version), the girls sprung out of the room with yet another cake to surprise del. and another bday song.

haha... well, all the above mentioned was only the plan la! i supposed it did happen that way, or so it seemed! heh...

nevertheless, the best part was definitely the jokes, the gorging of food, and the fellowship! carolyn broke a chair in the midst of everything (lets just wait for her to share how she broke it! keke....), we laughed alot at chin ling and aileen (as usual), and we took lotsa unglam pics (if chin ling would be so kind to post it up for us! hehe..)!!! carolyn also made a video clip for them, with all previous pics and funny captions that made me realised that we are really getting older!!! thanks carolyn for the wonderful video! =p

dear del, Happy Birthday! thanks for being such a great mother to all of us! personally, you've really touched my life as much as you did for the rest, and really... we dont often say it out loud, but you really mean alot to us.

Oppss... did this title appear again?? hehe.. I boast of the Lord's goodness!!!! Oh man..Yesterday i went back to sengkang to get my letter from MOE...ya....followed by my family dinner!!haha..This is the content:Your tuition grant and all compulsory fees will be borne by MOE, above that you are granted $5000/- stipend in yr 3 and yr 4 due to your outstanding results in the previous 4 years of study!!! isn't that great!!!!! hehe..so monthly i have $416.66 to spend... then my hubby giving me another $200...no net behind..can take more..hahahahah.... Thank God really...never expect this way.And the funny thing is my mum called me the previous nite, but i slept liao...so never ans..she wanted to tell me that she wans to give me money to study cos she knows simon juz change job...ya....hehe...then yesterday i told her no need liao.. cos my God good!! My God give me $$$..hehe.. Then my mum returned.. i say MUMMY, GIVE ME A FIVE!!! my mum asked, what's that??? hahah... i say hit my hand lah... she obediently say ok and did it..so funny rite...then she asked why??? I say i got money from MOE!!!! she exclaimed WOW!!!! and kissed me on my cheek....my face got a pink lip stain..... i say MY GOD IS GOOD!!!! MY GOD IS GOOD!!! i say come and believe in JESUS, this time she didn't give me a look or say Choi!! hahaha.. the time is coming... I think my family getting more amazed of how God is blessing me!!! heheheeh..Oh did i tell u simon found a job???? before the interview..he prayed, God one SIGN!!! When he went inot the room, the person says:" You are not my only interviewee, i htink you met the criteria for the job!" so funny rite...pay quite good. got about $900 car allowance. but on fri he went to sign, they increase to 1k...hmmm...good hor.. so these few months b4 he will be stable in the job, he's going to use his dad's car instead. hehe..the dad tell us to buy a car, think not so soon, must consult his spiritual parents. del says buy a house first..good idea....but i will only buy 2 years later.

wow! hehe... chin ling's post is not overdue la! i think im lagging behind her! *hehe... but im sure im not the only one! bet aileen hasnt seen this blog before! hehe...*
okok... ive accumulated everything in one post, so be prepared! wahaha...

anyway, i think this blog is really a wonderful idea! it reminds me of God's amazing works, and how much blessing He has placed in our lives! i think more importantly, i must remember to give thanks, in ALL circumstances! oh, and furthermore, we dont have to accumulate everything till team meeting to share! hehe... =p

i think everyone caught something different from the tablencale camp. myself included. although it still IS much different from the previous tablenacle camps, the fact that it touched my heart means something to me, that my heart has not hardened, and that i can still come before God, humble and broken.

keke.... 1st thing to give thanks for, was my cell! everyone except rachel managed to come for the camp! this is ONE time that i dont mind having a squeezy tent! i really think it's God @ work, and even seeing the change in them warms my heart! last time, you would have seen them grumbling and showing a black face throughout the entire camp.
NOW, you see them talking and laughing together, and even sharing with the cell.
sure, they mentioned that the camp wasnt that good that they'll be excited to come back next year, but they also added that it wasnt bad, that they'll regret coming.
for my cellies to say that, wow... it really meant alot to me. thats good enough to hear. =p
i really enjoy spending time with them now, you can actually feel warmth within the cell.
For that, i know God has done alot in this cell. im excited! im praying hard that everyone in my cell can go for the bangkok trip that we planned after their O Levels!!

secondly, i think camp was good for me too! the whole week had been super hectic, and the thought of having to prepare for worship for Rest!Camp certainly did freak me out quite abit! but i am learning something about following through, and one thing is that if God wants to use me, i have to make myself available for Him to teach 1st. haha.. you all dont know how much i struggled can! my 1st time doing worship for more than 7 ppl, with guitar somemore!! keke... i can get stage fright too! i was struggling not to give an excuse to escape from helping, but i really did want God to use me! so yup.. actually, worship wasnt that bad la! im glad pam and aileen were there to help me too! *whew*
now, i hope ill follow through my guitar lessons too! with guidance from dellia, i really hope to be able to play guitar for cell worship next time! keke... JIA YOU!! ade and crow too!!
GOD IS SO GOOD!! <--- ill soon be able to play that! haha....

thirdly, i thank God for the rest during camp! for me, it was really imporant to acknowledge that rest does not always have to be physical rest.. coz im definitely blessed that He sustained me throughout the entire hols. i think serving God doesnt only mean church activities, but to serve extends out to even my classmates! In particular, He also gave me the opportunity to bond closer with a few of my SIM classmates, especially in the midst of working together. it seems funny that they were the ones who made me and another classmate feel so left out in our 1st year in SIM, and now, they are the same classmates whom im closest to! i know God really moved mountains for that la! heh...and im sure He has a reason for placing them in my life! so ill continue to pray for them, and hopefully, they'll come to know God too!!!

lastly, i really thank God for helping me to accept myself for who i am. if God has given me these traits, i should not look upon them as burdens, but as talents to be used to serve God. hehe... hard to explain la! but it was through this period that i managed to find myself. hee.....

This can be quite over due leh!
This rest/tabernacle camp is very unlike the usual camp that i go to .... its one that i felt like nothing great happened... But, little did I know that many little convictions sprang from the camp...

The Opening ceremony ...
Where Pastor Hee Guan shared...all in all, one thing that sprang in my heart is that... - have i been receving and not giving? Not learning how to bless others. Taking my life for granted now..
I decided, then...i should get myself moving... I should not be happy and continue to stay in my comfort zone.. There are various areas that i started looking into lah... like joining Touch as a volunteer (errmm..signed up already..but they have not got back to me...so in God's timing, i shall wait). And, i finally got my big ass out of the sofa, and start to meet people that I've long wanted to catch.

Then Pam's sharing during the rest camp brought further emphasis to what God was already convicting me in... :) Pam shared something that i've long forgotten about... One of the ways to rest..is to serve... At first, when i heard it..i felt it was very ironical. i felt like it was hard to put into action. But, when i really did, i truly understood what it felt like to

So, I met up with Aldric. And i really thank God for him. He has been an encouragement to me during the conversation, how he still acknowledges God in his life... and all that.. His uncle is down with cancer...so he wasn't able to go to church for the past few weeks...so I felt like it was perfect timing that God brought us together again to share lah.. :). So, throughout the conversation, it was just very natural and enjoyable! I really felt that God was showing me the blessings of giving... After that, when i went home, i wrote this in my journal

"Well, thank you that this week..you finally started the passion in my heart - to get myself moving..to no longer stay in my comfort zone. Thank you for tabernacle that you set my heart to want to continue to release compassion and love to others. Thank you, dear Jesus. Thank you for enlarging my heart...because if you didn't, i wouldn't have experience the joy of giving. No wonder you said - Its more blessed to give than to receive.. dear God, please continue to keep my fire going and show me the next step of action. Don't ever let me give up on people. Let me love unceasingly. Let me never give up. .....is just a blessing. Lord, i want to learn to give because it blesses others, it blesses you, and it blesses me. Thank you Jesus for lifting my spirits"

"The best way to relax...is not to sleep, not to sit infront of the tv like a couch potato, not to go out spend money and play... Insteadit is putting energy to love the way you love, Jesus.Thank you for such a great way to rest.Its killing 3 birds with 1 stone!In Jesus Name, Amen!"

Well, I don't know if it was part of Dellia's plan to allow me to go through this to learn that the ability to serve God and his people is not an obligation, but a blessing, a gift from God above. But, it sure did work.

I don't know how long i would take to form my own spiritual family (Fulfilling my dream), but I no longer do feel the pressure as i do in the past. But, all i know is that the ability to serve others through the love of Jesus Christ, is indeed a blessing. So, in whatever ways i can, i pray that i will be blessing to others. And, I believe that as i continue do, He will show me to the family that he has prepared for me! :)

Oh yah, and one more thing to add! I thank God, that since I came back, my sister, xiangjun has been great support to me, and thank God that she has grown so much in loving God. We've recently started our own cell group at home, with jing jing as well! Please pray alongside with us that as we welcome God into our household and our family tat things will start changing in all of our lives. That our entire family will come to know God as our saviour!

Also, dear sisters, thank you for the many prayers and support that you have given to me.. :) I really treasure all of u as my spiritual family!!!!

HEE! OPPS! I am at work now..haha... cant help it.. i need to blog!

Hmmm... yah.. its been a hectic season for me.. a season of perservance and also a season of learning to lavish thanksgiving to GOD!!!! (wich i am so weak in it!)

Haha.. a few tings I wanna thx God for:

I am going to diving in Aug! Heh... initially it was not possible cos' I got staff worship on fri nite... furthermore, I am still on probation.. so ai lo... hhah... but thx God, my P was veri veri kind... she let me go! AMEN! haha...
For term break rite, which is tis 2 wks... I only need to report to work @ 9am! Hahah.. wah the wonders of another half hr of slp! Heh...
I thx God for my G12/cell, hee.. yah... esp. this season of transition for a few of them, its indeed a motivation for myself to "work hard, live well" for them!
Oh... haha.. just checked my mail, the FCBC side had received our mpc application, in the midst of processing, hopefully we can attend the Oct. class! Hahah... so exciting!

This is irrelevant... eh... Ps Vincent is talking to my P now... but the sight of him just makes me wan to laugh! Hahaha.. "Who is your woman?" "Baby del?!" Muahahha!

hehe. i just want to thank God for something that may seem quite small, but to me it's really amazing cuz it has shown me how real God is.. that God can really work through u wherever u are..

i've been doing invigilation for the acca exam @ expo.. today was the last day... through the short 4 days i was there, i made a lot of new frens, and God really blessed me with favour with many many of them... during the 3 hr exams, i usually had nothing better to do also, so each time i walked down the rows, i prayed for each student to have peace, to have confidence.. i prayed for the other invigilators, that they will be open to me, that we will hit off well...

and God really answered my simple prayers... maybe it's just me, but i really felt that the students in the rows i prayed for were so much at ease when they did the exam... many of them kept smiling at me when i walked pass them... so funny.... haa, even though it got a bit boring at times, i would say it was 4 days well spent... blessing each one of them... giving them encouraging smiles through the paper... i enjoyed myself... =)

as for the fellow invigilators... haha, it's amazing... it was so easy to talk about church cuz we were @ expo, near max pavillion! and they were all so open... haa, on tues, they kept asking me how my church camp was! hahaa... i was so amused cuz i forgot i had told them about it! haha... i invited 1 old man to come our church, then he said he thinks he will go back to his old church with his wife ( he backslide 20 over yrs i think hahahaa)... then, today i just found out that juliana (one girl from sim) was from city harvest, but backslide for 4 yrs liao!! hehe... i will invite her for miracle catch!! really pray she will come... haa.... ya lor ya lor.... we invigilators hardly had opportunities to talk, and yet each time we talked, God was really there teaching me wat to share and say to them! thank God!!

HEE... very excited for miracle weekend.... at first i only had 11 ppple to pray for, i kept asking God who is the 12th person? how can i know one new person in this short span of time? and tadah~~~ he brought juliana into my life... hehee.... God works wonders.... we must have FAITH! hehe!

Hehe.... Ya.. juz wana give thanks for the tabernacle camp!!! God is good!!! cos during and after the camp, my ppl start coming to me to confess many many things... I was waiting for 6 months juz for this moment. I do not want to go and ask them but rather wanted them to humble themselves to come and tell me.... So indeed they shared!!! Wooo..

Want to give thanks on Xueli's behalf here.
We got another teacher!!!! hahahaha...
Xueli wanted to reject the MOE teaching Award and choose NUS Business instead. As a spiritual mum, i'm very worried..cos i knew she would join lots of CCA, stayed in hostel and lots more..... ya.. i mean she has already decided on NUS...i got no choice.. but i prayed. Furthermore MOE award deadline was over for 2 weeks.... But u koe what happened on monday morning!!!! MOE called her to ask if she's willing to accept the offer. I mean MOE called!!! i mean they won't be bother to do that!!! Its like God!!!

And on sun, she's like sharing with me that once she's in NUS, she'll struggle with money and allowance. i can't help her in any way really. Can only listen! But the next Day, God made a way!! She was so excited that she called me straight away! haha.. i debriefed with her the whole matter. Really no point hiding from God, draw near to Him and he will draw near to You!!! God is good!!!!

Hahaha.....and i thank God for my life! it's amazing!!!

hee ppl! i checked my results when i came back from tibet! hee....got 2As and 2Bs....heee..... finally it is over le! what is my next step?haha....i dunno lah..... but i really thank God for the results....haha....the entire sem was so so rush that i dun even rem the projects i did le....haha... but really thank God! cos one of the module expected a D one! cos sort of condemned by the lecturer...she even think we gave her a very bad evaluation! but got a B! haha! God is good!

really encouraged by what u all have shared with me regarding the camps! hee! especially the weather! hee! think i miss out quite abit! roger proposed to pam! crow passed her driving! wow! so much! haha! but i had a great time in tibet too! i climbed mountains! and i mean really climbed! haha! at least 2000m above sea level.....more than 10km up e mountains! haha! unbelieveable hor! ya! by the grace of God! hee!

ChiLdReN'S CaMp - FaiTh MoVeRs pLaNeT ShAkErS

The theme for this year's children camp was FAITH.. pastor asked us during the briefing on thursday how we intended to grow their faith.. he said, u must impart it throughout the whole camp, in every action, in every word, in every activity, not just as part of the game.. and i must say, God really worked throughout the camp... This year's children camp was very different from the previous year's.. Last yr was more of fun, but this year, really, Faith is evidently shown throughout the whole camp... it was so so amazing!

haha, guess how many children were at the camp?? haha... exactly 12 of them!!! hahaha... pastor william was saying, it's by no coincidence that it's 12... through this camp, as we take care of them, it's just like taking care of our 12, teaching each of them faith.. he asked us to believe that after the camp, every one of the children will be totally changed...

haha... pastor willliam said on thurs, he thinks it will rain during the camp.... boy was he righT! when we woke on friday morning, it was raining so so heavily!! BUT the rain stopped when the children came! haa... how great is our God! then.. on the way to sentosa... it started drizzling... and ade's group started cheering " no, no, no no no, it will not rain, HAVE FAITH!" hahha.... and all we had @ sentosa was a very slight drizzle that made it so cooling... haha... AMEN!

But of course, the most amazing one was on saturday @ east coast... Just after pitching our tents, it started pouring.. (haa, God waited for us to pitch our tents!!!) and so, a few hundred pple (from all the different camps and tribes) had to look for shelter.... and how The LORD provides! Because there was a carnival on sunday, there was a huge tentage just behind our campsite... which was able to accomodate all of us!! and no, we didn't even need to squeeze! There we were, a few hundred under the huge tentage, sitting in circles playing games as it rained! wow.... thank God for the free tentage!! HoW GrEaT iS OuR GoD!!

The children played amazing race there, and the last station was to find Wally ( William), who supposedly lost his faith and was dejectedly roaming sentosa beach... they had to convince him to find back his faith.... and WOW... it was really amazing listening to the children trying to convince him.... it was simply testimonies after testimonies shared of the LoRd's goodness! they shared about the rain, about how they won, about their group.... and they shared it so enthusiastically cuz it was part of the game!! haha... as i listened, i was just amazed...

and the most amazing part.... william asked 2 grps to go find a bible for him... at sentosa beach??? when it was drizzling?? who will have a bible there rite?? haha... BOTH groups found it... one group went to the hotel to get it! and the other group... they were amazing... for no reason, they walked into this restaurant, and there was one lady praying, with a bible on the table!!!!! hahaha.... so amazing right! u should have seen the expression on their faces when they ran back with the bible.... it was WOW.... haa.... God is GOOD!

God really worked throughout the camp.... I would say that the camp was a great success because the children defintely grew in faith and enjoyed themselves too! Joanna and William really complemented each other, working so well as the prog coordinators!! Most importantly, God was definitely over-seeing our camp.... Praise Him!

Hee... erm.. as the title saes... haha.. it happened on the 6th June 2006... 06/06/06.. Haha.. can go buy 4D ah.. (tsk tsk!) Yup.. its our 2nd yr anniversary... so... sadly.. I did not get my leave lah... irritating.. i am going to MOM! hAHA.. Joking... so he picked me up and we went to..... haha.. my place.. haha for me to change into my PURPLE POLKA DOTS TOP! Hahah... too bad I dun have a reader..if not I will upload the pix (act. now is lunch time) Haha... so...

HAHAH... okokok.. basically.. we went to Mt. Faber.. it was a "surprise".. aniwae.. we went to take the cable car! Hahaha... was really happy cos last yr we wanted to take it for our 1st yr anniversary but it was under service maintainence! And last yr for my bdae but did not go ahead as it was tooo late... Hee.. we had sky dinning in the cable itself... the food was "so-so" lah... nice presentation but taste wise was ok.. (haha.. I am the fussy one!) Haha.. so yah.. then on the last rd rite... (total there were 3 rounds).. He popped the "question".. Haha... do I need to tell u the question? Haha.. thank God he did not sae "SO HOW?" cos I would have throw him out of the cable... but... he asked... "Would you like to go MPC with me".. oh btw.. he gave me a pair of earrings from SK! *BLINK BLINK* HEE.. very touched... I DID NOT sae yes immediately.. Hahaha... but of cos I did sae ok lah... after disturbing him for awhile... Hehe...

Yup....so I thank God tat... yes! We are finally going to MPC... so my "getting married dream" has taken the 1st step... hee.. Chin called ydae.. like I was saeing I dun really noe how to react cos' I have been pinning for it and suddenly when its for real... I find hard to believe... hahah.. so yah... but do pray... was filling up the form ydae.. dun really noe how to question some questions such as "When are you planning to get married".. Yah.. so yup pray for wisdom and favour yah...

hehe~ i shall be first to blog in here since i cant slp although its already 1 sth in the morning... anyway... i got my last semester's grades a couple of days ago and i've officially graduated from NTU! yup yup i got straight (no no no... its not As but...) Bs for my last sem but the good thing is i graduated w second upper honors! hurhurhur was v thankful cos b4 i got my grades, my fren n i had tried to estimate n realised tat i was only a borderline second upper and i thot i would need abt at least an A this sem to get me in there... but yeah thank God hehe~... v happy!!!! Okie dokie... see you guys at the tabernacle camp!
